I have recovered a Satellite Pro L500 Windows 7 pro with disc created from notebook, but now can't install a Realtek LAN driver for the notebook.
The software driver installer dosn't seem to run correctly all the time, have tried several times to install, with only once a realtek "repair" option becoming available.
When I did manage to install driver I got a error "device failed to start". after recovery I also had problems with a "PCL simple communications controller driver",
which seems to have been a Intel MEI according to the VEN, DEV info displayed in systems info.
Are these problems related and how do I Install the required driver in a automated system if the system won't detect the hardware correctly?
Have downloaded from many sources the correct driver, but the motherboard or the OS is not discovering the network adaptor so even if the driver is installed the divice is not recognised as being there(physically installed). when installing the driver software i get the error from the realtek installer "Realtek network controller was not found. If in deep sleep mode is enabled please plug the cable". have no idea what or how deep slee is enabled and have reset bios settings to default and have reset cmos.
