Satellite T130-11H - Factory Reset Issues

Hi

I had to reset my Satellite T130-11H to factory settings to try to stop issues with my internet and computer been very slow and not responding but now when it starts up it states that it is 'finishing the installation may take several minutes' then restarts on its own starts again and then restart again and again!

Now it is say ing the same message but just hangs and does not go onto my desk top?

Hi,

As I know during a recovery procedure you laptop will restart for many times. So, don't interrupt it and wait. If it still restarts for a long time, you can restore factory settings using recovery media you have made

it has now been Finishing the installation for 1 hour, i think it has crashed. how can i get to my desk top?

Wait more for 20 -30 minutes, otherwise you have to start a new installation as there is no other way to get to your desktop. As I know, your model isn't equipped wit cd/dvdrom. Have you made a recovery usb flash drive?

Hi

No i have not made a back up. So i dont know how to start it again without it trying to Finish the installation again?

I don't think you have something serious problem... Usually, this process take pretty much time to install Windows and driver/utilities. Reda here,

It's not good, i don't how if you have removed it while partitioning.. You can try to make a bootable usb flash drive for Windows installation. You have to get Windows copy disk, usb flash drive (not less 4 gb). How to make a usb bootable, read here:

How you know this? Installation is finished when OS started, all applications loaded and you can see the desktop.

i think it has crashed

This statement must be based on some facts. Why do you think so?
What happen exactly when you press power button?

hi,

even using the recovery disks, the same issue is still there.

process:
1- starting windows
2- first use
3- welcome
4- please wait... finishing installation....
5- restarting... 12th time.

please advise

Hi johndoe7999,

From my own experience I can say that Windows 7 installation from Toshiba recovery disk restart pretty often, as far as I know restart happens up to 15 times or more.

So I think you have to wait a little bit longer because everything is ok. The restarts happen because a lot of drivers and tools must be installed. So don’t be worry, everything is ok with your notebook!!!
