Tecra A10-15C PTSB1E - No Mobile broadband modem

I am seeking help with my internal modem problem using Wireless Manager 5 (5.2.1047.69).
I had a problem a week a go that the OS (Windows XP) was corrupted.

By then I could not open Wireless Manager 5 (with a message that "No Mobile broadband modem" and there were other programs that were affected. A recovery process was undertaken that included erasing all programs and re-installing them.

The modem worked for a week and I now have the same message "No Mobile Broadband Modem" again.
I have used the external vodafone dongle modem that is currently working but would like recovery of my internal modem.

Can someone assist, please?

Is “Wireless Manager 5” Toshiba application? I don't think so.
So if you have problems to use non-Toshiba applications contact software producer and their support.

One more thing: all the time you write about “internal modem”. What kind of modem is that?
As far as I know for usage if internal modem of your notebook you don't need some manager or other piece of software.

To be honest I feel the whole issue has nothing to do with Toshiba.
Have I misunderstood something?

Hi Scelo,

I’m a little bit confused about your posting... At first you write about your internal modem and then about Wireless manager. Ok, Wireless manager is not a preinstalled Toshiba application I think but modem and WLAN are different components.
So what’s your problem exactly?

Everything what I can say at the moment is updating modem driver. You can find the newest version on official Toshiba page.

Thanks for your responses. In clarifying some of the confusion, I would like to indicate that:
1. The internal modem, is the built in modem. I just need to insert my SIM card at the back of the computer and of course it needs a software (in this case Wireless Manager) to ensure that the system recognises the network connection. There is a vodafone external modem (as opposed to the internal modem) that is plugged on the USB port and I make that distinction between the two types of modems.
2. Wireless Manager is a software programme copyrighted by Toshiba in 2010 and therefore a Toshiba software programme.

Perhaps I need to also indicate that the internal modem I refer to here is particulary for the 3G card. One for linking to a landline (or fixed line), in my computer, is working properly.
