BIOS update failed - where can i download BIOS for floppy drive?

Hi,

after BIOS update fail by Windows i'll need reflash.

Where can i download bios files for floppy drive'??

Hi

Traditional BIOS update cannot be downloaded.
Only Win-based BIOS is available on Toshiba European driver page.

In your case you will need to get in contact with an local ASP!
The technician could help you and could reflash the BIOS using an BIOS crisis disk.

When WinPhlash runs,before flash make a copy??

Maybe you could be able to restore the BIOS if you have created a BIOS backup…

Just for info: An ASP can also recover the BIOS even it’s not a warranty case.

By the way: BIOS recovery is not easy and pretty complicated. Furthermore you could destroy the whole ROM module. So if you don’t have experience with this, I recommend contacting an ASP.

As far as I know price is depending on country and service provider so call service in your country and ask how much it will costs.

it depends on service center and country but not less than $ 50 and not more $100. At our service center it costs about 250 Nis, it's about $70

Hi ale2010,

You should ask the ASP in your country. Just give them a call, explain the situation and ask for the price. This takes only 5 minutes and then you know exactly how much it costs.

Unfortunately, she is right. The warranty doesn't cover Bios failure. It's not good but it's service center policy.

Download the program, password "crisis".

Download the latest bios (1.90), extract, rename exe to *.zip, copy the file with *.rom extension and paste to folder, in the folder crisis what yuo're downloaded. Rename bios file to BIOS.WPH, and doble click to wincrisis.exe, make a bootable usb pendrive.

In the laptop, unplug everything even AC adaptor. Plug usb, hit "Fn+B" while plug the AC adaptor, then hit PowerButton, then laptop is on and reading usb, finally when usb it's stop reading, disconnect AC adaptor and hit power Button and it's liveee!!!
