Equium L20-192 battery/compatability UK to USA
Posted: 07-Jun-2010 21:53
Hello, Apologies having problems posting a new message.

I have an Equium L20-197, the battery does not work and it runs directly from the mains.

Can anyone help with the following enquiries:

Will I be able to purchase a replacement battery?

I'm planning to go to the USA, would I be able to buy a power cable that would work in the USA?
I've tried to use UK to USA adaptors for mobile phone chargers etc, but they never seem to work.

I currently use a dongle, would I be able to use a dongle using a US supplier?

Many Thanks,

Paula

Why not. Remove the battery, check PA number there and use it for new battery order.
I am pretty sure Googling around you will find some online shop in your country where you can order new one.

I think you can use PA3420U-1BAS and PA3420U-1BRS batteries with your Equium L20.

As far as I know you don’t need new AC adapter but UK to USA adaptor.

Hi I have used my laptop previously in the USA and all I needed was an adapter plug. If you look on the bottom of your mains charger (on the transformer box) it should give you input voltages and output voltages, as long as it states input voltage 100-250 volts or similar then it should work fine. Any Toshiba chargers I have looked at did cover USA voltage as well as UK. Saves money for Toshiba to stop them having to produce 2 different chargers and benefits the customer as laptops can be used in different countries.

Hope this help
