Hi,

my wife's laptop was hit pretty hard by 'protectmypc' virus. went bsod on me.

followed howtogeek.com img iso brnt ubuntu to run and recoeverd most of my files.
Now before i do a clean install, i can't recover anything in the mysafe folder....

How the heck can i get these files?
The folder is empty when looking at it from Ubuntu

any help pls, some vip docs in there.

Hi

“MySafe” seems to be an 3rd party tool. Has nothing to do with Toshiba.
Ubuntu is also not supported.

However, in my opinion you need installed MySafe in order to get access to these files…
Without installed MySafe you will not be able to recover the files secured by MySafe.

This is my personal opinion…
Legend
