Satellite A200 and iTunes 2131 error

Hello, new to the forums here.

I did a search and couldn't find anything current on the 2131 error I'm getting from Itunes with regards to burning CD-Rs. I understand the Dell computers using the same optical drive have a patch, just wondering if one is available for my Satellite A200-03V?

Where would I find the firmware upgrade? I used Device Manager to check for a driver update with the result "drivers are up to date".

Hi!

The firmware has nothing to do with the driver. The driver for CD/DVD drive must not be updated and it’s a part of the OS.

The firmware update for your drive you can find on the Toshiba website:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com => Support & Downloads => Download Drivers

Hi, I am wondering if someone can help me with the problem above but with a twist in that the laptop I have is a PCNextDay with a TSSTcorp CDDVDW SN-S082H inside.

I am getting the same 2131 error in itunes as the first poster and wonder if there is a firmware update available for the S-082H - i saw somewhere else there was an update for the L632H and hoping for similar. The link in the reply above mine allows you to enter in your laptop details for a Toshiba machine but I cannot find any actual details on the device itself.

Sorry if I am missing something but I would greatly appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction as currently the only option I have is to use expensive CRRW (particularly expensive in Norway!) rather than CDRs for burning music cds which then dont play in my car anyhow.

In my searches for something on this I have also seen that Samsung have a CDDVD writer with the same product code (at least the SN-S082H) so wonder if this is a shared development (probably) and if that means I can use their firmware (maybe risky?).

You have to check your notebook model driver area.
If such firmware update is available, then you will find it only on Toshiba driver page.

But listen dude; this error seems to appear usign the CD- R disks.
You can use the CD-RW medias. The burning on CD –RW medias should be possible.
