Satellite Pro A210 - How to recover it with misplaced recovery disk`?
Posted: 10-Aug-2009 21:14

I have been having some problems with my Satellitte Pro A210, (AMD Athlon 64 x2, Vista, 120GB HDD, 2GB RAM), and it seems that I have made recovery discs when new and have misplaced them.

What can I do?

The Hard Disk should have a Recovery Partition.

Try holding down the Zero (0) key when you power on the laptop, this should start the recovery process.

If that doesn't work, press F8 quickly after the Toshiba Splash Screen to enter the Windows boot menu, where you can select to run Recovery/Restore.

What you can do? Good question.

If you don't have original Toshiba installations disc you have two options – either order new one under https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx or use Microsoft installations disc. All drivers, tools and utilities you can find on Toshiba support and download page.

By the way: if you got notebook with recovery image saved on HDD you can try to install OS using F8 and “Repair my computer” option. More about that you can read under
