Satellite 1805-204 will not boot
Posted: 30-Jun-2009 17:00

Laptop just down one day, was told the motherboard was the issue replace the motherboard with a new board. Still the same thing.

Green power lights up, LCD starts HD light lights then shuts down. Then maybe two to three hours or day before able to get this far. Replace the CPU & fan assemble too. Everything new almost. Please any help would be great. The support from where I purchased the board will not return calls or e-mail, don't want to throw $150.00 out the door. The power pack checks fine.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

First of all you should tell us what notebook you have exactly. The !805-204 is not known to me… Do you mean the Satellite 1805-204?

Ok, the mainboard was exchanged and also CPU. I’m right?
It’s really hard to say why notebook shuts down itself but maybe the new mainboard is faulty too and you have just bald luck.
Furthermore it could maybe a problem of the AC/DC adaptor. If you can try another adaptor, check this please!

Hi

Nobody would be able to say what part could cause this issue.
It could be everything; RAM, CPU, motherboard, etc…
My notebook didn’t boot up because one of the RAMs was faulty.

As you see, such issues can be related to different faulty parts and there is only one workaround; the parts must be checked.
