Not receiving security updates anymore?

Every week or so my netbook would offer to install a bunch of software updates. It hasn't done so for weeks now, but looking at the ubuntu security advisories I think it should have.

No errors reported, I can manually install software (so I can reach the repositories), and apt-get update appears to fetch the software lists, just no upgrades offered anymore!

Anyone know whats going on?

Same problem here. Firefox for instance had an update two weeks ago on my KUBUNTU-Notebook to 3.0.7 from the normal repositories. On my NB100 I still use firefox 3.0.5.

If I look in my /etc/apt/sources.list and copy a URL from there I can browse the repositories from a web-browser. They exist, they certainly contain a bunch of software, but they themselves don't appear to be getting updated anymore?

I may try Launchpad answers or the ubuntu forums. If I find out whats going on, I'll post back here.

The date of last change on the repositories in many cases is
AUGUST or SEPTEMBER 2008. ?????

If anyone is experiencing this and has a launchpad account, a couple of 'me too' wouldn't go amis!

After a couple of updates yesterday to the packages which actually manage the software upgrades, I'm now offered almost 300 software updates totalling >300MB. Wow!!!

I think I'll save a hard drive image somewhere before I do this in case anything breaks, and I'll report back one way or another

All updates applied OK, everything seems to be working fine after a reboot.

(As with other updates, sometimes I'm offered whether to accept a newer config file or keep the old one - I always used the newer one).

Did all the updates, now my machine seems to hang between 'starting up...' appearing and the progress bar appearing. I've got a feeling it's got something to do with menu.lst, but I can't see any differences between mine and my daughters which runs fine after the update.

Several months ago I got the last security updates, but I have not got any further updates since April. Even firefox is not updated. I am still using version 3.0.10 instead of 3.0.14. Or is there anything wrong with my nb100? I have also reported this on launchpad.
