Btw, the problem of stuttering video, scratchy audio, hissy ripping (they're all methods of streaming large amounts of data) is not a Toshiba one it's a windows design problem in how the driver system is implemented. Windows is not a real-time operating system. You just have to know how to tweak it right so it works most of the time.
The computers where you think they don't have a problem it's not because it's not there it's just because it's not obvious enough.
Then after getting rid of the high DPC's there is a secondary issue that you will hit a limit on the CPU & GPU in running certain games and their frame rate will drop depending on the game developers choice of implementation (that's where you need to change the settings), but you can run tools to check where your CPU/GPU max out at which can be a basic guide, e.g. 3DMark11 or 3DVantage.
DPC latency is a much bigger problem.
Now my laptop is low DPC latency I can run 3D games with no glitches even on my i3-380m with inbuilt HD graphics. You have nVidia what are you complaining about.
