Trojan Horse "ntos.exe"

My laptop has been infected with spyware and my computer knowledge isn't that great so I searched the internet for some answers. I have found no easy way to remove this problem (caused by a file named "ntos.exe") and was wondering if using the Product Recovery disc and starting over from scratch will help?

Yes, this should help definitely.

Why? Because the Recover disk will format the whole HDD and will erase everything from the HDD.
Therefore you could take your Recovery disk and should boot from it.
After the usage of Recovery disk your notebook should be set to “factory configuration”

As Jimi said, the Recover disk will format the whole HDD. Everything will be erased on the HDD, so before you do this, backup your data.

After you reinstalled Windows with the Recovery disk, make a Windows update and install all Service Packs. Use an antivirus and a firewall.
Then your Notebook is protected.
