Toshiba modem G450 problems

Hi,
We faced a problem. We installed a software and drivers of Toshiba g450 on the various notebooks to use it as a modem for a mobile network. When we were logged as Administrators everything fine, when we were logged as normal user in domain, the software was searching the modem without success. We did not have such a problem by other USB modems.

I also have problems with the new Toshiba 3G GSM/modem. (G450)
The include software Wellphone crash on XP and Vista. After testing i found that it is not compatible with
the latest .NET 2.0 version. On XP i needed to remove the SP for .NET 2.0 and got it working.
( Only now, my PC is vulnerable to .NET 2.0 security issue's that where fix in the SP)
On Vista it's impossible to get it work, .NET is embedded in the OS and can't be downgraded.
Any updates for Wellphone available ?

Wich System Service Pack are you using, XP SP2 or Vista SP1 ?
What is the Microsoft number of the .NET 2.0 patch wich make your software crashing, KB929916 ?
What is the Wellphone version you are using (you can see it from the -Install Folder- Wellphone2.exe details), 3.6.728.33 ?

Today after automatic updates of Microsoft Windows XP, modem stopped work. Occur message, that application failed.
Wich System Service Pack are you using, XP SP2 or Vista SP1 ?

Hi,I have the same problem,but because there is no serial for this software in the box(or cd)
with the demo ver. 3.7.662,Wellphone works wonders....but we do not have the serial number for registration.. ..

This device is a complete waste of time. I was sold this last Friday by Expansys UK. The software on it is dated 2007. Toshiba know full well that it doesn't work with Vista yet they continue to ship it without updated firmware. Disgusting!
Expansys UK are a complete waste of time too. It was the first time I have ever used them and I just spoke to a girl on the phone and said why where they shipping a device that clearly does not work with Vista and her reply was "Well it works with XP". Oh well that's ok then. I'll just go out a get a whole new system with XP on just so I can use my cr@ppy Toshiba modem. Great advice love. Shame they didn't mention this on the product page when I bought it.

Hello, it's true,but with Vista works only with Wellphone 3.7.662, that is the demo...you do not have a serial number to be able to do the upgrade of this software,or if you know where to download it...tnx
I'm sorry,as you can see the firmware version and know that there are two versions of a modem, a 3.6 Mbps, the other from 7.2 Mbps

It's true that version 3.7 of Wellphone software will work on Vista (tested in Home premium and Ultimate) with latest framework installed. But that doesn't solve our problem: G450 ships with a version that doesn't work, or even worse, that doesn't install at all.
Wellphone support says to upgrade to 3.7. How can we?. We don't have no serial number!!. Should we pay for the new version? Don't think so!
Toshiba support (as one would expect) just hides. Why has not anyone from Toshiba shown up in this thread?.
Give us a serial to upgrade!

I have an idea !!!! someone buys wellphone, then divide the cost in 2 or 3 users, who do you think....
47 euro or 62 $ . 3 users = 15eur or 21$ everyone...wwho says....

Please write wellphone support to get the link: they are very quick
This version (3.7.671.33) fixes the problem with DotNet framework v3.5
update.
