Can I upgrade the graphics card on Satellite A200?

hi friends,

I`ve got a Satellite A200-13O with 120GB HDD, 1.8GHz Intel Centrino Duo, 1GB ram and Intel 945GM chipset,

It is not even 6 months old,it was a 18th Birthday present for me, I want 2 upgrade its graphic card. Is it possible?

Can I also overclock the system??

Hi there,

unfortunately NOT, since the graphics chip is soldered (hardwired) on the mainboard. To play games you will have to purchase another machine with some better graphics card (Geforce 8700M GT is very good).

Sorry mate, but theres no chance to get some better performance with your machine regarding games.

Hi there,

I agree with dnf, the graphics card cannot be exchanged like the CPU or the soundcard, since these components are hardwired on the mainboard.
You can google for external graphics solutions but I assume that there is not really an solution for you available (except buying a new machine

)
