Libretto 70CT: Unable to browse the network
Posted: 16-Jul-2007 19:49

I am trying to connect my Libretto 70CT to an existing LAN. I am using a Linksys Fast Ethernet PC card in the Libretto, connecting to a LAN port on a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router.

There are two other computers connected to the router which network OK. I have performed all the setup procedures in the PC card manual and everything appeared to work normally.

When I double click Network Neighborhood on the Libretto, I get a screen with "Entire Network" on it. When I double-click this, I get a panel saying " Unable to browse the network."

Please help.

Hi

I have searched on the Microsoft website for some solution proposals and found this:
Unable to Browse the Network" When You Click Network Neighborhood
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/260214

This behavior can occur if there is an AutoLogon key in the registry at the following location:
HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Network\Real Mode Net

It seems you can solve this issue by deleting the AutoLogon value from the registry location listed in the "Cause" section.

Check also this:
Network Error (1222): Unable to Browse the Network
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/170336

Good luck
