Qosmio G20: I could not play any of my favourite games because of lags

Hi all

I've got one concern about my notebook.
I've got G20 - 2.26 Ghz with 1GB RAM and Geforce Go 6600.
Bought it around one and a half year ago. Mainly for gaming.
However was very much dissapointed because i could not play any of my favourite games because of lags!!

Having heard that it is a powerfull machine i could not believe it, but as time passed i put up with it.
However after reading this forum, thought that it might be usefull to ask if everything is alright with my laptop!

One interesting fact to point out. When i bought Call of Duty 2, it was lagging awfully!!
However when i chose in the "Options" section Driectx 7 the game started to fly!!

Problem with directx?? Maybe you could help me?

Maybe some of you could kindly list any of the games you are or used to play on Q20 without problemms?

GTA3 San Andreas (i think) - lagging
Il-2 Strurmovick - lagging
Stronghold 2 - lagging
Sim Sity 4 - lagging (a bit)
Sims - lagging

I´ve played Prince of Persia "two thrones" and Onimusha 3 on my G20-118 without any issue. Everything ok!
You shoudl try to update the DirectX and enable all settings!
