Satellite Pro C660-2DN - No wireless drivers available

I'm looking for a wireless driver for the C660-2DN system. I've downloaded all the drivers from toshiba that are available for this system, and a wireless driver isnt among them. I've looked up the Vendor & Device IDs (168C & 0030) and visited the manufacturers website for drivers. The .exe file I obtained however told me that I dont have any compatible hardware on my system.

If anyone has any idea what I could try next I'd be grateful.

I'm connected by ethernet at the moment, but the system is a gift to a relative who needs the wireless connection, so I need to get it working.

It worked fine when it came out of the box, but after some blue screens I reinstalled windows and all the drivers, minus this one.

Your notebook has Atheros 802.11agn HB116 WLAN card inside.
WLAN drivers can be downloaded from Toshiba WLAN portal - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/

Hi

There is just one Atheros driver which supports all the Atheros Wlan chips.
The Wlan card in the C660-2Dn is Atheros HB116 AR9382 and the driver from Toshiba WLan portal should help you to get this WLan card running.

Problem resolved - solution:

Nothing worked until I reinstalled windows from scratch and installed the driver recommended above BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE. Until I did that it wouldn't work. A bit far to go to make a driver work, but luckily the system was brand new.
