AT200-101 USB OTG strange behaviour with all devices
Posted: 14-Aug-2012 13:23

Hey,
I've got an AT200-101 with an updated ICS 4.0 OS and I can't get the USB-hostmode to work. After a lot of reading about the fine difference between the regualar (type B) USB connector and type A (known as OTG) I finally have got the right adapter (it has a recangular shape and the ID-pin is grounded).
Now each time I plug in a device (usb massstorage device, 3G modem) nothing happens except the AT200 suddenly shows charging even though it's not connected to the charger nor is the connected device externaly powered.
I tried these external USB devices with an other ICS tablet (Zenithink) and they work fine.

Andybody any clues?

Did some more tests: connecting a USB mouse works fine as well connecting my Sony NEX camera in masstorage-mode... But all the other sticks are ignored.. Are only Toshiba sticks recognized?!

If you have an active USB-Hub (with an own power supply) at hand, you can try to put that in between the device and the AT200 + USB-OTG Adapter.

The AT200 seems to allow just a very low consumption of bus power.

You're right, with an externaly powered hub it works fine.
Thanks!
