Hi
The FN + F8 would not work if there is a WLan driver problem.
So would recommend doing this:
First of all remove AC adaptor and battery.
Press Power button 30 sec long
Then connect both parts again.
Now power up the unit and press F2 to access the BIOS
Set BIOS to default pressing F9 and save changes pressing F10
Access the BIOS boot up the Windows OS
Now download the compatible WLan driver (I guess its Intel WiFi 5100AGN)

After installation of Wlan driver, install the Value Added Package and Flash Card Support Utility.
Reboot the notebook and try to enable Wlan again.
