Satellite A350-13B cant see any Wi-Fi networks
Posted: 11-Jul-2012 11:08

Hello,

I have this weird problem- Out of the sudden my wifi stops working.
Internet works on cable, i just cant see any wifi networks.
I tried turning wifi on and off using latch, as well as with fn+ F8.

I was looking for a driver (just out of ideas, it was working for like 2 years...) but could find any apropriate, finding any driver for toshiba is a pain...

My os is windows 7 32 bit. I would be very gratefull for any help :).

What happen when you use FN+F8 key combination?
Set WLAN switch to position ON and check it out. Are options for enable/disable available with FN+F8?

Fn+f8 doest give anything. Wlan switch is on all the time. Other fn+FX configs work. The wlan led only flash at the system boot then its off all the time.

Correct
Hi

The FN + F8 would not work if there is a WLan driver problem.
So would recommend doing this:

First of all remove AC adaptor and battery.
Press Power button 30 sec long
Then connect both parts again.
Now power up the unit and press F2 to access the BIOS
Set BIOS to default pressing F9 and save changes pressing F10
Access the BIOS boot up the Windows OS
Now download the compatible WLan driver (I guess its Intel WiFi 5100AGN)

After installation of Wlan driver, install the Value Added Package and Flash Card Support Utility.
Reboot the notebook and try to enable Wlan again.

All i did is install the driver u recomended + reboot. I had to choose the one for vista 32 bit, not windows 7. Thank you :).
