Usually at first all data will be copied from DVD to the HDD and after first restart recovery image installation will start. I don’t know exactly how long the copying process will take but I think maybe 30 minutes. Recovery image installation maybe an hour.

Simply restart your notebook and see what happen when you do this.

Please post some feedback.

Sorry but you must explain what happen exactly.
Start your notebook and press F12 to enter boot menu. When the boot menu is shown on the screen put recovery DVD into optical disc drive, choose CD/DVD drive and press ENTER button.

What happen exactly when you do this?

You mean an blinking cursor in the left upper corner?
Looks like HDD problem…
Should check if the HDD is ok…

Download an tool called Drive Fitness Test and create an bootable disk in order to test the HDD…
If errors would be detected, it’s time for new HDD

Hmm… did you try to repeat this HDD recovery procedure?
I would shut down the notebook and would disconnect AC adaptor and battery.

Then wait some time and press power button… then connect battery and AC adaptor and power up the unit. Press f8 and start HDD recovery which can be found under the point: repair my computer

Good luck

HDD is part of the notebook… if notebook’s warranty is valid, the faulty HDD should be replaced free of charge…
