Catalyst Control Center doesn't work anymore - CLR20r3 Error

Hi,

I recently bought a game, Armed Assault, which is not a quite new game, and my Satellite (I'm sorry, but I dont know which series exactly) has the right system requirementes for good graphics.

I know that the GPU of my graphic card (ATI Radeon 4200 Mobile) is not the best, but I had to make the graphics as low as possible to get a stable framerate.

So I wanted to look up the settings of the graphic card with the Catalyst Control Center.. but this doesnt work anymore, it just doesnt start and says that there's an CLR20r3 Error and that the Application stopped working.

That is not bad for me, but I wondered if I can change any options or something like that to make the GPU faster/ work better?

Hi

The CLR20r3 Error can be causes by corrupted registry entries…
I would firstly recommend settings the OS back to early time point before this error appeared…
Use the internal Win 7 system restore tool.

If this does not help, uninstall the ATI catalyst and .NET framework from system.
Then install the CCLeaner and clean the system and registry.
Reboot several times run CCLeaner once again and install the removed software once again.

In your other posting I found info that you have Satellite C650D -11K. You are right. GPU is not the best but with reduced game video settings I hope it should work pretty well.

As MasterG already wrote, to get it work again you must try to reinstall display driver. Latest version you can download from Toshiba support and download page - http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

Remove preinstalled version, clean up registry, restart your notebook and install latest version for your notebook model.
