I don't think that it could be a RAM issue because occurred the same with the RAM provided with the laptop.
If exist a BIOS version that allow to set up a fast boot could be the solution.
Hey dude, forget the “fast boot” option in BIOS…
Even if such option would be available, this is NOT the reason for such long boot delay…
Even if the fast boot would not be enabled, the notebook should boot up much faster than 4min
Furthermore why do you think its BIOS issue???
If the same happened with the old modules too, then I would think its hardware related issue…
During the POST (power on self test) all parts like keyboard, random access memory, disk drives, and other hardware would be checked… if one of the parts does not work properly, the POST could be longer or could not be passes properly…
Therefore I think one of the parts connected to motherboard (or maybe motherboard itself) is the reason for that…
