AT200 - Brightness decreasing problem

Hi everybody!
Recently I've noticed that there is a problem with the brightness of my tablet (AT200-100).
When I use it for a while, the brightness starts falling down by itself.
Not because of the "auto" feature, because the ambient light continues being the same.
The problem is that the "maximum" brightness that I can select keeps falling down, until it gets to around 10%! After that, I can't select again more than that 10%, the brightness cursor just goes no more to right, so I can only select from 0% to 10%.
As I was seeing that, I've saw in the "quick-settings-clock-menu" how the brightness cursor was falling down, and down, without being able to restore it to the original position.
After a while (a long while) with the tablet suspended, I'm able to select the brightness again with no problems...
By the way, recently the tablet is starting to get a lot hotter than before, or at least that's my impression. Maybe the heat is causing the problem?
Anyone else is having this issue?
I'll try to begin to unistall apps, just in case one of them is making this problem.
Any oder idea?
Thanks in advance!

Hi
Unfortunately, I’m not AT200 owner so cannot share my experience with this device but it would be interesting to know if any of installed app cause this issue…
Would be interesting to know if factory reset would solve this…

Hi jojojox2,
the brightness on my AT200 does not show this behaviour. There are changes in the brightness, but usually only when I turn the tablet to the window (brighter) or cover the webcam (not sure if that was the right spot) with the hand.
Currently I am unsure where the sensor for brightness measurement sits, I think it may be the webcam. But covering it should make a difference.
Does turning off the auto-brightness remove the problem?
Another reason might be a nearly depleted battery. It may be that android starts to reduce power consumption when the battery capacity gets closer to 0%.
Temperature:
When the tablet is busy (complex websites, videos ...) there is an area where the tablet gets quite warm (I would say around 40-45° C). This has been like this since I own it. As I am using a leather case currently I mostly don't notice it any more.

Hi everybody!
I've got the same problem with the decreasing brightness setting on my AT200. Did anyone find a solution to this yet? Is defective hardware the reason? Should i bring my Tablet to repair?

Hi, I have ICS, Android version 4.0.3, Build number IML74K.05.5.0004 (Kernel 3.0.8-g3213daf android-toshiba@dps3build11 #1).
I check every week for updates, and that was the last I had. Any clues? Or it's just a hardware problem?

My AT200 has had various ROM's since the first Honeycomb ROM through to 0004 and I have never seen the brightness issue. Perhaps the light sensor needs a clean or you need to reset it back to factory?
