Satellite P870 touchpad is huge, any way to reduce the active region?

Hi,

I have P870. The touchpad is huge and is off-centre.
When I type my thumb naturally touches the touchpad intermitently.
When this happens the mouse pointer gets clicked into a different paragraph (or even window) and everything I type goes to the wrong place.

Is there a tool to reduce the active region of the touchpad?
I would like to disable about an inch of the left edge - I never use it except by accident.

Hi

Please check this:
Go to:
Control panel -> mouse -> advanced tab -> advanced feature settings button

Here in “Touch Pad settings” click on Setting button.

Now go to “Inertial Movement area” and decrease the movement area.

I think this is what you are looking for…
