I have a Satellite L750/L755 with a GTX 525m and every time i try to overclock it the laptop turns itself off immediately when starting a game. It even turns itself off when i overclock it slightly?? Sometimes it turns itself off for no reason when playing games too, very rarely though.
Temperatures are slightly over 68 degrees Celsius when playing, so i dont think its a temperature problem. Please help, im worried am i even supposed to be OCing at all?
I agree with Akuma. Overclocking on mobile machines is very bad idea. At first doing this you will cancel “valid warranty” and in case that something goes wrong Toshiba will not do anything for free.
Due to specific design notebooks have cooling system adapted for certain model and certain hardware platform. Overclocking will change this balance between graphic card performance and cooling system so the risk of GPU damage will be much higher.

There must be some reason, probably too high temperature.
When you play games be sure notebook is placed on the desk and cooling vents (cooling grill) are not blocked. They must be free. Use high performance power plan and be sure that cooling method in advanced power options is set to maximum performance.
