Hi!

I've been having some problems with my laptop for quite some time now.
My laptop frequently turns itself off without shutting down properly and generally runs slowly. Today when I turned it to hibernate and then tried to turn it on the power button lit up and then shut off again and now my laptop won't turn on. I think it's mostly due to overheating?

Is it recommened I take it to see someone? Or try opening the back and checking for dirt? I have no idea what to do and just want my laptop to work at maximum performance so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Laptop info:
TOSHIBA
Model name: Satellite A660-18N
Windows 7 Home Prem OA

Please ask if you require any more info.

Many thanks
Sophia

Is your warranty valid? If yes, don’t disassemble the notebook!
This would cancel your warranty and additionally you run the risk of hardware damage!

If you think, that your cooling fans are clogged and dirty due to the dust, you try to clean the fans and grilles using an compressed air spray…
This helps to get rid of dust… so if dust is a problem here, this workaround should help to fix the issue…
