Hi,

I think theres something up with my graphics card >.<. I dont know much about laptop graphics cards but reading on the net apparantly it doesnt have one per say.

I have gone onto 'DXdiag' and there is something called a 'Standard VGA Graphics adapter' as the device name. I have tried reading up on this but its confusing to me and do not really know what I'm looking at.

the chip type is Mobility raidon 7000 IGP
8bit

Like Ive said, im not very good with these kind of things but it was struggling to run solitare smoothly.....i mean come on! SOLITARE!! lol.

Can anyone help me??

thanks

Hi

First question: What is your preinstalled system?
Second question: Did you install the compatible graphic card driver available on the Toshiba European driver page?

In my opinion it looks like such driver is missing.

HI,

this sounds really bad.......but i dont knw what you mean by pre-installed system lol. I'm really not very good with computers.

Its Windows vista home basic. if thats what you mean. But otherwise Im stumped!! :-P

Ill have a look at the graphic card driver and see if that helps. Will i need to uninstall anything first or will it sort itself out? also will it just be called graphics card driver or shall i look or something particular

thank you

No, just download the right driver and install the driver executing the exe file.

Graphic card driver or display driver… both mean the same :)

Also on the drivers page there was not anything for Vista.....

The A60 series is very old… it looks like only Win XP was supported… the new systems like Vista or Win 7 are not officially supported and therefore the Vista/Win 7 drivers are not available for this series.
In such case you will need to search the display driver at your own hand.

I think your notebook supports an ATI graphic card but I’m not quite sure what is the name of this GPU card.
Therefore could install some hardware diagnostic parts like Everest Home Edit or SANDRA soft to get details about your GPU chip.
But also DXDIAG should contain the graphic chip name.

Having the details of your GPU, you could search for Vista driver.
