Hi everyone.

I am nii from Ghana.

I am trying to update my graphics to run a 3D program which requires it but i keep getting the error "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer's manufacturer"

The accelerator in use the Mobile Intel (R)4 Series Express Chipset Family
Current version is 7.15.10.1502
The version is the 1508

I downloaded the 32 bit version for windows vista but can't seem to update to the new version.
I keep getting the above mentioned error report.
I tried the update utility online which keeps telling me the same.I hope there;s a way to get around this .

Hope to hear and thanks is advance.

Hi

The error means that you try to install an driver which is not compatible with the graphic card.

What notebook do you have and what graphic chip does this notebook support?

Graphic card manufacturers doesn’t support mobile computers and don't offer drivers for it.
Every time if you want to install such driver you will get message to use driver designed by notebook manufacturer.
Mobile computers are specific in design and cooling system is optimized for certain notebook model.
Using not tested drivers graphic card can be forced to run on limit and produce more heat as allowed. Result can be overheating or even hardware damage. Toshiba and all other notebook manufacturers install own drivers. These drivers are adapted and do not force notebook to run on the max level.

OK maybe is the performance not so good as we want to have it but most important is that hardware is protected and you will not damage mainboard.

Download the .zip version of driver from intel website, and install using this guide: http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-029635.htm

No guarantees to functionality because it's not the official toshiba driver, however it is many versions higher.
