I've been having some issues recently with the graphics quality on my laptop.
The games I play are World of Warcraft and League of Legends.
When I first bought the laptop, the recommended graphics settings worked fine and smoothly. But now, not even a year later, I've found myself having to lower them slightly and to top that, I receive these random FPS drops that last for a few seconds and then my FPS returns to its usual (30 FPS).
Additionally, sometimes the game "stutters" and the sounds go robotic and static'y (it's not my connection causing this).
Any advice from anyone knowledgeable on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for taking your time to read this and I hope you can help me.
If your notebook supports HDD protection sensor, the HDD Protection Utility and HDD/SSD Alert Utility should be installed on your notebook.
Check All Programs -> Toshiba
The HDD Protection Utility could disable this feature.
Well, there are two different tools: HDD/SSD Alert Utility and HDD Protection Utility.
If you cannot find this in All Programs -> Toshiba -> Utilities then check the Toshiba Assist which should be available on desktop.
Otherwise it could be possible that your notebook does not support this feature and there must be another reason for the FPS drops.
I think you should also check some WoW gaming forums to check if there are some details about the FPS drops while playing this game.
