Does anyone have any idea if the device would accept this?
I think this is a point where nobody could be able to provide an 100% right answer…
Since there are no inforamtions what devices would be supported and recognized by BIOS, we can just assume about the compatibility…

As far as I know the NB550D series was equipped with different Wlan cards
Atheros 802.11(b/g)13ch-HB95 MOW-HMC
Atheros 802.11(a/g/n)13ch-HB116 MOW-HMC
Realtek 802.11(b/g/n)13ch-RTL8188CE MOW-HMC
Atheros 802.11(b/g/n)WB195-HMC w/ BT V3.0+HS
Atheros 802.11(b/g)WB195-HMC w/ BT V3.0+HS
So these Wlan card would be compatible for sure...
The Intel N-6230 is an mini PCI-E Wlan card and the notebook supports the PCI-E slot so theoretically it should functions.
