Satellite A505-S6005 - I want to upgrade the graphic card

I have an Toshiba Satellite A505-S6005 and i want to buy an Nvidia GT540M. Can i put it to the laptop?
(romana: Am un Toshiba A505-S6005 si vrea sa cumpar o Nvidia GT540M. Pot s-o pun la laptop?)

Unfortunately, this is not possible.
The graphic card cannot be upgraded.

SO..... I will not buy from toshiba anymore. Sorry for the question, but to change the graphic card at my laptop is necessary, because i have an Intel HD GRAPHICS MEDIA ACCELERATOR which i can't make nothing....x-(:(

Its your decision but the graphic card upgrade is not possible on other notebooks from other manufactures too.
The point is that notebooks are not desktop PCs and in most cases the GPU is part of the mobo.

I don’t know what do you mean with good price but you will not find notebook with good hardware for, let’s say, 499 Euro.
The same is with other notebook manufacturers. Good hardware costs money and it has nothing to do with Toshiba directly. Due to specific design notebooks cannot be upgraded like desktops.

I paid 1200 euro for my machine and it runs “like rocket”.

My brother bought a Toshiba Qosmio X770-123 with Core i7 2.2GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M with Optimus Technology, 8 GB RAM, and HD+ Display for 1180€
The machine is great and price-performance ratio unbeatable
