Driver of portable Canvio HDD won't install

Hi,

I hope that someone is able to help me.

I am trying to use a Toshiba portable hard drive (HDTB110AK3BA) on a notebook from other manufacutrer that has a Windows 7 operating system.

However, I just keep being told that the device driver has not installed properly and hence the device won't work.

I have tried searching online for the drivers to download for this device but have had no luck finding anything.

Can anyone please tell me where I might be able to download the drivers, or a way that I can get the drivers installed properly from the device?

Are you speaking about this external HDD:

This external HDD is an plug`n play device. This means that no special drivers are required.

But the HDD support an 3.0 USB standard. This means that an USB 3.0 provides 900mA. An USB 2.0 standard provide 500mA… so if your notebook supports only USB 2.0, you will need to connect the HDD to 2 USB 2.0 ports to ensure that enough power would be supplied.
