Can´t recover Satellite L500

Hi,

i had to recover my Satellite L500 ( windows 7 )after the originial hard drive crashed and I had to replace it with a new hard drive(Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD5000BPVT 500GB). I used the original recovery dvd but the installation stoped after the reboot while starting windows. with this error message: Setup Could not configure Windows on this hard ware.

Does anybody know a solution to this problem?

Hello Florian

Have you tried to install recovery image few times?
Does it always end with same error message?

Hi,
I tried it several times and it always stops at the same time. A bios update didnt help either.

Hi

In my opinion the issue is related to the new HDD.
So any updated would not help you in this case…

I think you should try to format the new HDD and should remove also all the partitions.
Then try the Recover disk again…
It would be also interesting to know if you would be able to install the Windows using other Microsoft disk.

In worst case you will need to test other HDD!
