You must understand that on this virtual way it is not esy to help. We dont know what is wrong there.
Is HDD recognized when you connect it to the PC?

Is warranty still valid?

Hi

The USB ports of your Mac don’t provide enough power to the HDD.
The HDD supports high speed USB 3.0 port. This means that is needs about 900mA
The common USB 2.0 ports provide max 500mA so this is not enough…

In such case you need to connect the HDD to two USB ports using an Y usb cable…

Hi Unleashed_1

There are two possibilities: either its power issue as mentioned by Paolo30 or it’s a HDD malfunction.
I think you should try to connect this HDD to two USB ports or to an USB hub which provides enough power to the USB HDD.
Ensure that 900mA are provided to this HDD…if this does not solve the problem, it can be possible that your HDD malfunctions.
