Bios update for Satellite Pro L750 still on black screen
Posted: 21-Mar-2012 10:52

Hi,

The HDMI, USB, VGA and ethernet ports on the one side of my laptop were not working at all.
I rang the Toshiba warranty number and was instructed to update the bios.

It restarted straight away and came to the Windows log in screen and I entered my password.
After that the screen is just black.

It has been like that for 45min.
How long should it take????????

The light that indicates hard drive activity flashed occasionaly.
How long should I wait and what should I do???

Thanks
Lasko

Hi

I think 45min is too long time… I think there is something wrong.
Last time I updated the BIOS on my Tecra unit and this took 2-3min but definitely not longer.

Maybe you should power off the unit and should reboot it once again….

Good luck

The mouse is still showing on the screen and it appeared as if the screen saver kicked in as the mouse disapeared and the screen went darker. On moving the mouse it showed the mouse again and went back to the way it was.
