Hello there,

I've noticed a few not so good sounds coming from my cpu fan, along with my 17" laptop over-heating.
I decided that it was time to replace the cpu fan - model KSB0505HA

Now I'm wondering where I can buy a new fan for this model?
I found a site in nz, but the fan is for the P305 series, and I'm not too sure if it would be compatible with my notebook.

Would anyone advise me on where I can get a new cpu fan for this series?

Thank you~

Just to make sure:
I'm looking for one in my country - New Zealand!

Added that looking for one in NZ

P305 is probably model offered in US but it must be the same as P300 in Europe or AU so I think it should be the right one.

I don’t know where you can order it but try to use Google and check if you can find some online store in AU where you can order it.

I can also imagine you can order it by nearest authorized Toshiba service provider. Make a call and ask.

Thank you for your reply,

I have tried contacting the Toshiba service provider, but was advised that it would cost me $60NZD for said service. I'm afraid I do not have such money freely lying about.

I have tried google search but the search comes up with models for A Series and other notebooks that have no relation to my satellite pro p300.

I hope that p305 is indeed the same as p300, but without actual certainty I wouldn't want to risk buying something that could in turn be incompatible with my laptop.

Again thank you for the valuable information, i will try to ascertain if indeed the p305 series in US is the same as the p300 here

With a little bit luck you can find such parts on eBay. You can buy used one but in good condition.
I cannot imagine it will be expensive. In the past I bought several keyboards and displays on eBay.

Check it out.
