Driver issues with new music controller

I have just brought a new controller for music it has an automatic plug and play driver in it but I received an automatic update that has disabled my pc from reading drivers I just went to use a printer and my pc doesn’t read the drivers for that.

How do I reactivate or reconfigure pc to read drivers?
Someone please help I’m also getting an error message that says code 43

I think you are saying you installed a usb "device" and that there was then an update and now you get an error 43. The error 43 should also have had a text description.

I think the easiest thing to do now is to delete the new device and drivers and then see if a reinstall will work. The steps required are set out here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc725782.aspx

Can you please be so nice and inform us which device do you use, how is it connected, which notebook model do you have and so on.
