Satellite L755D - Webcam: very bad picture quality?

Hello @all,

I've got a Sat. 755. (OS: win7, 64bit). The webcam returns very bad picture quality and I noticed, that the driver is from the year 2006 (Microsoft, Version 6.1.760.17514).

I installied the latest "driver" vom the Toshiba site (version 2.0.0.19), which actually just updated the cam-software.

Is it a fact, that this webcam is of very poor quality or could anyone please help me to improve the pictures, which are not only in Skype poor, but also when I just test the cam.

Hi

Please check that the film in front of the lens is peeled off.
I think many models are delivered with a protection film in front of the lens and it is not too easy to see.

Thank you for answering. I have removed the protection film after buying, so this doesn't cause the problem.

Then probably you need really good ambient light to get a decent picture.
