Sorry if this is the wrong section, but I was not sure where i should post this, anyways.

Ive had my notebook Satellite L650 for about 7 months now, and recently my notebook would freeze up, and crash with a BSOD, i didnt manage to get the error report. But after restarting, I got an error message before the windows loading screen.

I dont recall the exact message but it could not locate a HDD and would not boot.
My sister also got this same message on her computer a week before coincidentally and told me it was a HDD failure as she had her HDD replaced by Toshiba in Adelaide.

After managing to reboot in safemode, and then doing a reboot from there, i managed to get back into windows.
Its been a few weeks now and i have not had this message, although I do get intermitent lag from general use and end up having to reboot if I can manage to get the start bar up.

After further inspection with HD Tune im convinced i have a damaged HDD, what should i do now?
Heres a picture of HD tune results

Hi

Your notebook is 7 months old and with full warranty support so before you start to make some experiments I recommend you to contact nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.
They guys there can check HDD using own diagnostic tools and exchange HDD, if necessary.

I think t is best solution for you. Don’t spend your time playing around.

Hi

Seems that HDD needs to be replaced.
If the warranty is valid (and it should be valid if the notebook is 7 month old) then go to ASP and ask for help.
The HDD could be replaced by a technician.
