I have Satellite L655-149 Satellite. Can I replace the processor from Core i5 to Core i7 and how?

Hey,

Theoretically you can upgrade the CPU but if you do this you will loose your warranty and everything happens on your own risk. Furthermore it’s not supported from Toshiba that means nobody can say if the new CPU would work properly or not.

As mentioned, you will void the warranty and the new CPU may not work or could damage the notebook if it causes overheating or draws excess power. There isn't much performance difference between i5 and i7 anyway, unless you need to regularly encode HD video or some other intensive processing.

If you need more power upgrade RAM to maximum level and you will see that your notebook runs much better and faster. You don’t need more that that.

Please note: RAM upgrade will not cancel the warranty and you can do it on your own.
