Tecra M11 and asset Tag

Hi,

I'm looking for how to set the asset tag information int the smbios of a toshiba tecra M11 laptop ?
I have found this post LINK:http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=40167 but the tool assettag.Exe don't keep the tag after reboot.
Any idea please ?

I don’t know if you have European notebook model but here in Europe this tool is not available for customers and this stuff must be done by authorized service provider.

If you want you can try to contact nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.

As you can see in other thread last user has posted link to Toshiba US support page.

Hey,

I agree with Andrej. That’s no official stuff for end users and it can only be done from professional people (authorized service provider).

Before you do something wrong you should contact the guys and ask for help. I’m sure they can do this for you within few minutes.

Thank you for your answers.
I can't find the good tool. Dell, Lenovo or HP have one but not Toshiba ? hard to believe...
I have called the support ant the guy didn't know how to change the asset tag number value.
Is there a support for company ? I'm not a end user.

Don’t call support. You must contact Toshiba service provider in your country.
I’m not 100% sure but I can imagine this info is not for end users.

But if you are not end user, who are you then?

I'm IT specialist for my company and i create Master (MDT, WDS, Wim Image) for the team who is deploying computers for end users
