Replacing keycap on Satellite Pro L300
Posted: 02-Dec-2010 12:15

Hi, hopefully this is an easy question to answer.

Have had a single keycap pop off and I don't seem to be easily able to replace.

Any hints or pointers to how I replace?

Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul

Wait a moment. Unfortunately I didn’t understand you.
What you want to do exactly?
To put the keycap back in place or replace it with new one?

I mean if you have new one put it in the right position and gently press down. It will work if the small plastic mechanism is not broken.

Hello

I don’t have good news for you... :(

I had a similar problem that one key didn’t work anymore so the ASP replaced the whole keyboard because single keys are not available and can’t be exchanged.

So I think you need a new keyboard but it’s not so expensive. Just contact the local ASP and ask for that.
