Satellite Pro T2150-CDT - BIOS file nime during update

Have an old TOSHIBA T2150 CDT PA-1186U. BIOS version which computer posts during the boot process is "Toshiba Video BIOS v2.0". During the attempt of updating BIOS upgrading bios utilite request me to unput "BIOS file name". I inputed "B2150CDT.EXE" but bios utilite says "can not find BIOS file"

What BIOS file name I must input durin processing BIOS update program?

My question is;
Why you want to update BIOS on this old machine?
If it’s running without any big problems then I would not recommend touching the BIOS!
Leave it as it is…

However, the link posted by Xardas provides details and info how to update BIOS on different Toshiba notebooks.

Hi,
I ment that bios update utilite askes "BIOS file name". If correct file name of BIOS will be not inputed BIOS update utilite stops working.
But I don't know what is the "BIOS file name" on my notebook.
That is why I can't update BIOS

According to BIOS FAQ link there is no data about that situation
FAQ page do not mention BIOS upgrade for model T2150CDT (PA1186) at all.
2. All ways of BIOS upgrading at Toshiba FAQ page says that upgrade utilites processes automatically.
But bios upgrade utilite for model of my Toshiba notebook do not processing automatically, it request to type "BIOS file name"
There is nothing about such request nitgher in documentation of notebook nor at linked page.
3. I do not know what bios upgrade utilite is correct cause of BIOS version at Toshiba archive support page

is B2150CDT.EXE of 04-24-96 v5.10 - Toshiba T2150CDT
but really my Toshiba T2150 has BIOS v2.0 not v.5.10 at all

Hi

I think you have chosen the wrong BIOS.
On the Toshiba European driver page you have to choose:

Archive -> T series T21xx -> T2150CDT -> PA1186

There is a BIOS available; its BIOS Update 5.10-TRAD and the exe is 2150V510.EXE

I've download this release of BIOS upgrade. But i have no floppy device now and can't monitor if it'll be working correctly or not

you can get floppy ... but my personnel advice, don't touch Bios if laptop runs. If it goes wrong, you wil get a blank screen and need to reflash it. Anyway, it's your laptop, you can do whatever you want.
