Journ.e Touch software error - How to do hard reset?

Hi,

my Journ.e Touch crashed software...

A lot of Windows CE error into file .exe for application and a "unaspacted error" while it's turn on.

If it's possible, how can i do a hard reset or restore factory default?

Hello visluke,

there is a "Reset" button on the bottom of the Journe Touch.
You can move the reset button to the left side and afterwards to the right side again.
After this press the power button on the right side at least for 3 seconds.

Now the Journe Touch should be resetted.

Hi,
thank's for the answer!
but so the JT not "hard reset"!
the software (download by toshiba store) is still on the JT ... and error too!!!! and the error is on Windows CE .dll and .exe!!!!!
the factory defaul or hard reset recover all software to origin!!!
no installation... no other software... no account too!!!
but the error is least resolved.

i put the Journ.E Touch in e.Bay...

Updating the firmware...

Warning! This will delete all contents on the device; please backup all files attaching the device to your PC. All applications will be deleted too: please download them again from the Toshiba Virtual Store.

To upgrade your device firmware, follow this steps:

* Download the latest firmware onto your PC...

* Unpack the two files (NK.bin and boot.ver) inside the archive on an empty SD card.

* Place the SD card in the JOURN.E TOUCH; make sure you have the battery at full charge and the AC adapter attached.

* Reboot the JOURN.E TOUCH.
The message "Updating..." should appear, then some applications are unpacked. Please wait untill the process is completed and the usual interface.

* Remove the SD card and reboot the device. Your device is now updated.

If the updating process isn't completed successfully (CRC firmware error, battery power missing, ...), the device won't work again. Please retry the process using a brand new SD card.

the fact is that i really think this tablet is absolutely something incredibly useless,no assistance at all.the link doesn't work,just like the tablet.i'm lucky because i still can give it back to the shop and get a refund.what a shame.

Hello friends.

Yesterday buy a Journ.E and I have updated the version of the firmware to the 1.1 but when I want to go to VIRTUAL STORE he asks for the mail address and password me and I do not have it. I do not know whom I bought it him and need to lower applications. How can I do to solve my problem?

I can not update the JournE Touch . On the display appears constantly updating... more than 30 minutes. Tried again .. without result.
and the device is turned on only to the welcome screen.."toshiba"

Hello,

the same issue. Try to updating. Only invitation Toshiba screen. I waited all day without any change.
Then I made hard reset (down bottom) But no chance to swich on tablet. Only invitation screen Toshiba.

Any advise please?

Have you done this properly?
To reset the journey you have to move reset button to the left side and afterwards to the right side again. Then press the power button on the right side at least for 3 seconds.

Hello all

I have the similiar problem as ludwig.s.engel but without firmware updating. Some day turned off JT and next day can't turn it on. Olny invitation screen. Hard reset doesn't work.
Any suggestions?
