Hi,
I just recently bought the L500-164 and installed Windows 7 64bit. Everything runs perfectly fine, just one thing occured that annoys me incredibly.
Whenever I play a game (Counterstrike, Warcraft3, Warsow, Soldat) the is a big black stripe on the left and right side, so basically the displayed screen of the game is like a quadrat. I even saw more on my old 15,4" laptop, because it was able to display it as widescreen.
I've installed the newest Catalyst, but there is no possibility within the CCC to enlarge the screen of the game to the full amount...
I really want to fix this issue and hope for your help.

Hi
Normally in every game you can change the screen resolution and I think you didn’t set the right screen resolution. As far as I know the Satellite L500-164 has a native screen resolution of 1366 x 768.Did you choose this resolution?
If you choose another resolution that uses another aspect ratio you have such stripes on left and right side.
Furthermore you should use the display driver from Toshiba directly. Other drivers are not pretested and don’t have an overheat protection.
