Hello,
I have just bought a new Toshiba Portege R500-12H notebook with Windows Vista, and I would like to format the hard disk and install Windows XP instead.
I have a Windows XP CD-ROM (the one from my former PC), I insert the disk and boot the notebook on the CD-ROM. Windows XP installation is loading, I get the screen asking me "push F3 to quit, Enter to install XP" (as usually).
But when I click "install", it is said that no hard disk has been detected, and I am asked if I have any additional drivers.
How is it possible that my 120go HD is not detected? Is it in a format that Windows XP doesn't know? Should I get a driver, how can I install it? Should I upgrade the bios?
Please help me
Thanx for all,
