hi, i had same problem, realtek drivers did not help... but dfx audio enchancer for wm player did! i can hear not only a fan now:

If you go to the Realtek website and download the latest HD Audio Drivers (I downloaded the zip file) and upgrade you will get a sound quality boost. Is it load...no but I can actually hear the music and video now...

I am also quite disappointed by the very low maximum volume.
Are there any better drivers or is it a weakness of the hardware?

I already tried but despite everything when i increase on top level the volume it's too slow.
I don't know why there are any problem ???

In the task bar on the right site you can see speaker symbol. Click on it and when the volume control is shown you can change level moving the regulator up and down.
